Encryption Bits And Code In Destiny 2 To Unlock Khvostov Exotic

Destiny's weapon in the predecessor.

  • Lost Encryption bits can be collected through Blooming Region, Landing and Impasse.
  • Players can obtain the Khvostov 7G-0X by completing the exotic mission in “The Final Shape.”
  • The exotic mission unlocks after players finish the main campaign in the expansion.

Destiny 2 has brought back old memories with its DLC: The Final Shape by adding Khvostov 7G-0X exotic.

Khvostov is one of the auto-rifle weapons in the expansion, along with the exclusive missions, locations, and abilities.

However, players should have enough encryption bits and encryption codes to get the exotic rifle.

Collect Encryption Bits From Regional Chests In Destiny 2

The regional chests are scattered around different locations at the Pale Heart in Destiny 2: The Final Shape.

Players will find three regional chests each in The Blooming Region, The Landing, and The Impasse.

Some quests are hidden underneath the cave, whereas some are found around the ruins.

If you follow the red icon marker on the maps below, you will get all of the Regional Chest and collect the missing Encryption bits.

Even if players collect the ten chests through other missions, it won’t be enough to get the Encryption code.

Complete The Main Storyline

The first procedure to get your hands on the OG exotic in Destiny 2 is completing the main storylines;

  • Transmigration
  • Temptation
  • Exegesis
  • Requiem
  • Ascent
  • Dissent
  • Iconoclasm

The eighth mission unlocks after players complete the World First Raid. After the campaign, you will receive an exotic mission to obtain the Khvostov.

Moreover, The Final Shape has the same number of quests in the main campaign as The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and Beyond Light.

The exotic mission: Alone in the Dark, should be one of the toughest in the game, considering the ability of Khvostov.

Here are the six cyst missions you need to complete to get the Legendary Khvostov Auto-rifle;

  • Sword Dance
  • Searing Light
  • Aerial Ace
  • Moth-Infested Cavern
  • Slayer
  • Smothering Darkness

The Khvostov has plenty of modifications and perks in the expansion, unlike the cult classic, and is deemed to be favorable for Ad-clear builds.

The weapon can also be crucial when facing a swarm of enemies or snapping heads through burst or single-fire mode in ranged combat.

Khvostov works great with the Prismatic Subclass, and its main Perk, The Right Choice, can even rebound the seventh bullet for additional damage.

The exotic also has a secondary perk, Shoot-to-loot, and an Eyes Up, Guardian Trait, which provides extra damage and bounce.

To complete the specific requirements, players can also obtain other exotic weapons, including Tessellation, Red Death Reformed, Still Hunt, and Microcosm.

Lastly, players can get the Khvostov Exotic after finding eight Traveler statues and beating the Overthrown bosses to get 17 Motes of Light.
