The “Supply and Demand” event in Escape from Tarkov is a pre-wipe quest which recently launched on August 2, 2024.
This is the event for a new quest line with the Mechanic faction, where players must eliminate PMCs using their favourite weapon to progress.
However, the event is part of a series of activities, which resets player progress and lets them have new content.
Complete The “Supply and Demand” Event In Tarkov
The Mechanic faction launches the “Supply and Demand” event which you can access through their quest menu.
The event consists of multiple parts, starting with the Gunsmith Special Order task, Customer Communication and Gun Connoisseur.
Gunsmith Special Order
This is the first task where players must give the Mechanic an M4 A1 with specific specifications.
Once players complete this task, players will obtain rewards with a Bitcoin and 200 rounds of M995.
Customer Communication
The second part is Customer Communication where, players must find specific items in raids, including military cables, LCDs, and power cords.
Once players collect these items and hand them over, they receive an M4A1, 25,000 XP, and nearly 300,000 rubles (with max hideout).
Gun Connoisseur
The next task, Gun Connoisseur, requires players to kill 10 enemies with 5.56, 5.45, and 7.62×39, and 5 enemies with 7.62x54R, 9×19, and 9×39.
The rewards include various types of ammunition, such as 200 rounds of 855A1 and 240 rounds of 7N40.
The Main Event “Supply and Demand”
After completing all the above quests, players can participate in the main event “Supply and Demand” by eliminating PMCs using their favourite weapons.
This encourages players to experiment with different weapon loadouts and playstyles.
Upon finishing the event, players will gain access to a global event. This allows players to barter for the most popular weapon builds at the Mechanic’s loyalty levels three and four during the next wipe.
The weapons chosen for barter will be based on the most frequently used ones during the event, adding a layer of community influence on the game’s future content.
The “Supply and Demand” event has a limited duration which runs until August 6, 2024, 10 AM BST / 5 AM EDT.
Therefore, players need to complete this quest within this timeframe to earn the rewards.
