The Oracle is a pivotal location in the recently released Shattered Space DLC for Starfield.
To begin the adventure in the Shattered Space DLC, players must meet specific requirements.
Players can buy it for $29.99 on Steam or the Xbox Store. However, if they own the Premium or Constellation Editions of Starfield, the DLC is included at no extra cost.
Accessing The Oracle In Starfield
Players must complete the game’s introductory mission, “One Small Step,” which involves travelling to Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system.
Although you can begin the DLC at any level after this mission, it’s highly recommended to be at least level 35.
Lower-level characters might find the enemies too challenging, making the gameplay tougher and less enjoyable.
Once they have met the prerequisites, follow these steps to access The Oracle:
Travel To An Unused Star System
Once you’ve completed the initial mission, open your map by accessing the main menu.
Navigate to the Starmap and look for a star system that does not have any active missions or encounters associated with it.
You can only travel to systems you have previously discovered. After selecting an unused star system, initiate a grav jump.
Make sure your ship has enough fuel allocated to the grav drive. You may need to adjust power settings to ensure a successful jump.
Receive A Distress Call
Upon entering a suitable star system, you will receive a distress call directing you to The Oracle space station.
This call triggers the new mission titled What Remains, which will appear in your quest log.
Boarding The Oracle
Navigate your ship toward The Oracle structure. As you aim toward it, press the appropriate button to initiate docking:
- PC: Press E to aim and then R to dock.
- Xbox: Press A to aim and then X to dock.
Once you see the Dock option, select it to trigger the docking cutscene, which will transport you inside The Oracle.
To dock with The Oracle, press the “Interact” button while in your ship when prompted.
Successfully boarding The Oracle initiates your journey into the Shattered Space expansion.
Finding And Restoring The Access Card
While exploring The Oracle, you may encounter the Redstylus. It will help you enhance your movement and reach areas crucial for finding the Engineering Bay Access Card and power cells.
Players can find the card in a dormitory area on a bed, which is part of the quest progression after interacting with characters like Sirak and Basira.
Once obtained, use it to access new sections of The Oracle and continue your quest.
Additionally, to restore gravity, float to the top of The Oracle, find a secluded entrance, and use a power cell to restore gravity by placing it in the Power Receptacle on the wall.
