Building The Thermal Tower In Once Human
The thermal tower is a massive facility powered by Chaosium, able to regulate the temperature of the surrounding area and improve survivors’ living conditions.
In Once Human, when the season reaches Phase II – Scattered Ash, players can unlock the Thermal Tower Memetic under the Building category.
To build the Thermal Tower, you need 35 aluminum ingots, 50 steel ingots, 30 metal scraps, 30 electronic parts, and 10 storage batteries.
Once placed, the building cannot be moved, but you can still relocate your territory away from it.
Benefits Of Using A Thermal Tower
Every base within the tower’s radius will benefit, as long as the territory’s center falls within that range.
You can expand the tower’s radius up to 324 square meters, and you cannot place any other tower within this maximum radius.
Players must upgrade the towers to receive any benefits. The tower can be upgraded in four sectors, which are:
- Radiator
- Outer Defence
- Reactor
- Thermostatic Cover
Each category offers its own set of perks that players can use to their advantage to enhance their gameplay.
While the Thermal Tower uses Chaosium to operate the thermal range, the unlocked perks remain available even when Chaosium is not in use.
As you operate the Thermal Tower, it will generate Chaosium Waste, which you can purify once it reaches 80%.
During the purification stage, you must defend the bases within the tower’s range from mobs.
If you successfully defend your Thermal Tower from the wave of enemies, you will earn Chaosium along with other rewards.
