Nexon is committed to resolving key issues and has announced that it will release the new 1.1.6 Update for The First Descendant on October 30.
The 1.1.6 update launches with a primary focus on two key areas: Reactor Implants and Resource Defense Management.
New Features And Changes In First Descendant 1.1.6 Update
On October 17 the developers announced that a new 1.1.6 Update is coming to The First Descendant, on October 30.
The update is set to go live on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at exactly 00:00 PDT, bringing anticipated improvements and features.
The target platforms for the new update include Steam, Xbox Series X│S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5.
Key Changes To The Reactor Implant
The Reactor Implant Function becomes accessible on the workbench once players complete the Reactor Implant Training sub-quest.
To unlock this, players must first finish the “Complete Reactor Enhancement Training” sub-quest.
Ultimate Tier Reactors consume other Ultimate Tier Reactors, enabling implants based on specific Optimization Conditions.
Available directly on the workbench, these reactors can host up to three unique Optimization Conditions.
Players can modify these conditions through implants, offering flexible adjustments to their setup.
Although a single reactor can have multiple Optimization Conditions, players should note that the Skill Power increase can only activate once.
Enhancements To Albion Resource Defense
Special Operation – Resource Defense’s locations have been revamped, now taking place in Kingston, Echo Swamp, and Fortress Field.
One of the most notable changes is the reduction of waves, shortening the total from 21 to just 10.
In addition to the wave reduction, players will now encounter a significantly increased number of Common and Commander Monsters.
The introduction of Champion Monsters that drop Buff Items similar to those found in the Special Operation – Mine Blockade further enriches gameplay.
In addition to these changes, the update improves the PS5 Pro Enhanced function, enabling PS5 Pro users to enjoy a better gameplay experience.
Overall resolutions have improved in each mode, thanks to PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR).
Following the 1.1.6 update in The First Descendant, the PS5 Pro improves the ray-tracing function’s resolution compared to the PS5.
