In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, building a romantic relationship with Lucanis requires engaging dialogue, thoughtful gestures and meaningful interactions.
One of the key steps in winning his heart is to buy something for Lucanis that reflects your understanding of his character and interests.
By selecting the right gifts and completing his companion quests, you can deepen your bond and unlock the full potential of this romance.
Buy Something For Lucanis
When the players have choices between Lucanis and other characters, always choose Lucanis which is crucial for progressing the romance storyline.
Lucanis is a character in the Dragon Age universe with a unique personality and preferences.
Start by heading to Treviso, where you’ll find the Antivan Crow Merchant. This NPC sells the special item needed to woo Lucanis.
Interact with the merchant and buy the Antivan Tea Set. This item is a bit pricey, costing 90 Gold and 10 Flawless Crystals. Make sure you have enough resources before making the trip.
Once you have the Antivan Tea Set, locate Lucanis in your party or at a designated location. Present him with the Tea Set.
This gesture significantly boosts your relationship with him, indicating your interest and appreciation.
Include In Your Party
Bring Lucanis along on as many missions as possible. This not only strengthens your bond through shared experiences but also allows for more dialogue interactions.
Further, players need to engage in all of Lucanis’s companion quests:
- Coffee with the Crows
- Bloodbath
- Inner Demons
- A Murder of Crows
After returning to the Lighthouse in the Fade, visit Lucanis regularly. Further, pay attention to his dialogue options; romantic choices will be indicated by a heart icon when hovering over them.
Avoid Negative Dialogue
Be cautious during dialogues; do not say “Lucanis wouldn’t come alone” during Bloodbath, as it may make him feel cowardly, which could negatively impact your relationship.
Further, look out for specific moments where you can express your feelings:
- After completing The Sea of Blood quest.
- During conversations after the Siege of Weisshaupt.
- In the Lighthouse following the Bloodbath mission.
- During Inner Demons, select both romantic options when prompted.
- After Inner Demons, tell him “You’re sweet” to solidify your feelings.
In a pivotal moment later in the game, choose Treviso over Minrathous during a dragon attack.
Failing to do so will lock you out of the romance option with Lucanis, leading him to become “hardened,” which enhances his combat abilities but eliminates romantic possibilities.
When assigning characters to missions later in the game, ensure you assign Lucanis to defend the Antivan Crows, as he excels in combat against mages.
Contrarily, to fully lock in your romance with Lucanis, ensure you make decisions that favors him during critical moments in the game.
