In FS25, players must apply lime on the field before sowing seeds to harvest the crops.
FS25 New Crops: Rice And Long Grain Rice
In FS25, players need to grow, experiment, and overcome challenges like weather events and seasons.
The game offers two types of new crop, rice and long grain rice. It requires different seeds to sow.
Rice can be grown with 156 seeds per hectare, whereas long grain Rice can be grown with 500 seeds per hectare.
Instead of just placing the rice fields, you can customize the shape and size from the build menu.
To begin harvesting, you will require materials such as a tractor, a cultivator, a specialized rice planter, a harvester, and a trailer.
You should also have some lime in storage for the end of the whole process.
Lime On The Field To Harvest Crops In FS25
When building the rice fields, they are pre-limed, so you don’t need to apply them initially.
After that, the water pump will be activated to flood the field and plant the saplings.
You dont need to add an additional fertilizer spreader like with other crops when you are using the rice planter.
The pump automatically provides the correct amount of water, but you must check the water pump daily to maintain the proper level.
After the rice matures, you can choose whether to sell it, store it, or process it into other products.
You must apply lime to the field and cultivate the paddy after harvesting to grow another batch of rice.
Only after a few harvests, you will have to use lime in the field.
For the long grain rice, you will not need any water. You can sow the long grain rice dry.
After covering the paddy, you can flood the rice field and maintain different water levels at different growth stages.
Once it is ready to harvest, you can use the harvester. You can then sell, store, or process the long-grain rice.
Similar to rice, you will need to apply lime to the field to cultivate another batch of rice.
