Farming Simulator is a video game based on a farming simulation where players can farm, breed livestock, grow crops, and sell assets created from farming.

In Farming Simulator 25 (FS25), producing hay can be quite a rewarding process by using the available tools and techniques

With new equipment and features in the series, working through the hay-making process is easier than ever.

Setting Up The Hay Farm In FS25

At Riverbend Springs, the farm is equipped with impressive machinery. The equipments include:

• Challenger and White Tractors: Powerful and visually striking, these tractors make hay farming efficient.
• MacDon SP: Essential for cutting grass, this swather quickly tackles large fields.
• Anderson Rake: This piece gathers cut grass into rows for easier baling.
• Case Baler: Helps in compacting hay into manageable round bales.
• International Pickup and International CV: Useful for transporting bales.

Cutting The Grass

To start, unfold the MacDon SP swather and widen the wheelbase for better stability.

With built-in GPS, it’s easy to cut straight lines, which speeds up the process and reduces manual adjustments.

After cutting, consider doing a “headland” pass around the field’s edge, which helps clear more grass in less time.

Raking The Grass For Hay In FS25

Once the grass is cut, it’s time to rake it into rows with the Anderson rake. This step makes baling easier by creating rows that the baler can follow smoothly.

The rows may look a bit choppy, but this can improve with better fertilization.

Baling For The Hay In FS25

For baling, use the White tractor connected to the Case baler. FS25 introduces more realistic baling features, such as net wrap for round bales, which adds a layer of authenticity.

The baler can hold two rolls of net wrap, allowing for around 100 bales before needing a refill.

Aim for smaller bales if using a smaller loader, like the Kabota skid steer, as they’re easier to handle.

Loading And Transporting The Bales

Using the Kabota skid steer, carefully load the bales onto a flatbed truck.

The bales have more realistic weight, so they might be a bit tricky to stack. You can fit about eight to ten bales on the flatbed.

Selling The Bales

Once loaded, transport the bales to sell. The International CV does the job here, but you might need patience, as it’s not the fastest.
