Prepare Silage In Farming Simulator 25 In Two Ways
Silage is a processed form of grass prepared after months of fermentation in the bunker or using the latest machines of the game.
Players can use silage as a staple food for Cows or sell it in the store to make money for themselves.
In FS25, there are two ways to prepare Silage from grass. Firstly, players can use machines like tractors, balers, and windrowers.
You can also use the Forage Wagon to collect grass from the field and store it in the bunker for fermentation.
Silage In Farming Simulator (FS25) Using Balers And Wrappers
To make grass silage, first of all, you need to mow a field using the mowing machine. After mowing, you can equip a windrower.
Once you equip the windrower, you can lower it and start using it on the field. The machine will collect the mowed grass in a row.
The row of grass will make it easier for balers to make the grass silage. There are both square and round balers from the store.
You also need to attach the wrapper at the end of the balers to wrap the silage; if not, you can wrap the silage separately.
After equipping, you can start the balers on the field, and it will start collecting the grass from the field.
The balers will stop once it is full and you can also check the amount of grass on the left side of the screen.
Lastly, the baler will automatically start wrapping the silage, and then you need to press Z to drop the Silage on the field.
You will now have to leave the balers on the ground for the fermenting process.
Make Silage In FS25 Using A Forage Wagon
In another process of making grass silage, you need to head to the store and equip a Forage Wagon.
Afterward, go to the field, lower the lever on the field, and start moving on the mowed grass.
The Forage Wagon machine will start collecting the grass into the trailer. Once you collect all the grass, you need to travel towards the bunker on your field.
In the bunker, spread down the grass and unequip the Forage Wagon machine anywhere on the field.
After that, spread the grass in the bunker by driving over the grass a few times, then press R to blanket the Silo.
The fermentation process will take around a month in the bunker.
Now, players can travel through the time to collect the Silage. The balers process will take around a couple of months to complete the fermentation.
After the Silage is ready, players can either use them as food for the cows if they have any on the field or sell them to make some money.
