HIGHLIGHTS

Deal With the Devil is a main mission in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, where players uncover Nestor’s whereabouts.
The evidence collected during The Price Goes Up suggests he was captured by a Garbage bandit group led by Varan.
It indicates Nestor was taken to an abandoned plant in Garbage, which serves as Varan’s base.
Confront Varan In The Abandoned Plant
The plant is located near the center of the Garbage Zone, just south of Slag Heap.
You must follow the winding road from the settlement and look for the abandoned plant on your right.
When you arrive at the plant, you will notice the plant in Stalker 2 is guarded by members of Varan’s gang.
However, they will allow you to pass without conflict.
Further, proceed to the back of the plant, where you will find Varan’s building. It’s a large brick warehouse with “1981” clearly displayed above the entrance.
Once inside, look to your left to find Varan seated on his throne, surrounded by piles of trash.
Talk To Varan About Nestor In Stalker 2
At this point, speak with him about Nestor to receive three options:
- Pay K20,000
- Attack
- “Any other options?”
Firstly, paying K20,000 gives you immediate access to the room where Nestor is being held.
Varan will provide you with a metal key to unlock the room downstairs.
Be careful, as you must kill all the gang members, including Varan, even if you select this option.
Alternatively, choosing to attack throws you into a fight against Varan and his crew.
Consider this option only if you have sufficient ammunition, armor, and healing items to handle the challenge.
After defeating Varan, you will need to loot his corpse to retrieve the key to Nestor’s room.
Lastly, selecting “Any other options?” in Stalker 2 leads Varan to offer you access to Nestor in exchange for a favor.
Specifically, he will task you with eliminating one of the two rival bandit faction leaders in Garbage.
In summary, if you want to reach Nestor quickly in Stalker 2, your best options are either paying Varan or killing him.
