Death Cave is a small cavern situated to the east of Rookie Village in the Cordon district.

You can access the Cordon region after exiting the Lesser Zone through the Eastern Checkpoint.

The cave features multiple vortex anomalies and serves as an excellent spot for farming artifacts.

You can also obtain an AS Lavina assault rifle in the cave, along with a stash containing various loot.

Be cautious, as a Controller mutant guards the cave, making it difficult to access the loot inside.

Inside the cave, it is very dark and filled with vortex anomalies. Move carefully forward to avoid walking into any of them.

You will find a skeleton wearing a gas mask, which is where the artifact and assault rifle are located.

The Battery, Lyre, and Crust are among the various artifacts that can be found within the cave.

Face The Controller Mutant In The Death Cave

Although the cave contains valuable and rare resources, retrieving them won’t be easy, as a Controller will try to stop you.

The Controller is a powerful opponent who doesn’t inflict physical damage but instead deals psionic damage.

As soon as a Controller spots you, it will launch psi attacks, triggering a short cutscene that affects your vision.

The area will grow darker, the camera will shake, and you’ll begin hallucinating enemies.

Occasionally, you’ll encounter ghosts that run into you, inflicting damage. The monster can also control people, turning them to fight on its side.

Taking a psi pill will reduce the hallucination effects, and it’s best to get close and shoot the Controller with a shotgun.
