- The third Ascendancy trial in Act 4 is confirmed in POE 2, but it is not yet available in Early Access and will likely be released with the full game.
In Path of Exile 2, players select a class at the start of the game to suit their preferred play style.
Each class also features multiple subclasses, known as Ascendancies, which grant players access to an additional skill tree.
Players must complete various trials scattered across different acts of the game to unlock and upgrade their Ascendancies.
The Trial Of Sekhemas In Path Of Exile 2
The Trial of the Sekhemas in Act 2, unlocked after defeating Balbala, The Traitor, serves as your key to accessing Ascendancy classes.
Navigate through seven unique challenges and face a final boss to complete the trial.
Players must also protect their honor, which decreases with each hit they take. If it reaches zero, the player dies.
After completing the trial, interact with the Altar of Ascendancies to select your Ascendancy class. You will also receive two Ascendancy points.
The Trail Of Chaos In Path Of Exile 2
Grab the Chimeral Inscribed Ultimatum dropped by Xyclucian, the Chimera, as it is the key to the trial.
The Trial of Chaos is located in the Temple of Chaos in Act 3 of the game. Complete the three challenges and defeat the boss to finish the trial.
Similar to the Trial of the Sekhemas, you must complete various challenges. However, instead of choosing between rooms to enter, you must select a negative modifier.
You will receive two Ascendancy points for completing the trial and can choose your Ascendancy class if you haven’t already.
The Third Ascendancy Trail In POE 2
Although a third Trial of Ascendancy in Act 4 has been confirmed in POE 2, it has not yet been implemented in Early Access.
Since Early Access currently only includes content up to Act 3, it is likely that the third trial will be introduced with Act 4 when the game is fully released.
However, players can earn extra ascendancy points by completing the Trial of the Sehkemas and the Trial of Chaos on Cruel difficulty.
The Djinn Barya coin and the Inscribed Ultimatum coin are variants of the trial keys required for the trial.
The Djinn Barya coin must be marked with three trials, while the Inscribed Ultimatum coin must be marked with seven trials.
