The “Bring Your Own Carpet” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley introduces a magical adventure where players help Aladdin in restoring a flying carpet.
This is Aladdin’s second friendship quest and becomes available once players reach friendship level four with him.
Completing this quest unlocks a unique Magic Carpet mount, allowing players to explore the valley in a new way.
Starting The Bring Your Own Carpet Quest In Dreamlight Valley
First, talk to Merlin. He will ask you to find books in his Dreamlight Library about carpet weaving, fabric enhancement, and flying.
These books are inside his house. One is on the right side of the room, another near a pile of books on the left, and the last one is close to the desk.
Collect all three books to move to the next step.
Give The Books To Aladdin
After picking up the books, take them to Aladdin. He will be happy and explain the next steps. After talking to him, go find Minnie, who will help with the next part of the quest.
Minnie will ask you to gather several materials to fix the carpet.
You need Fiber, which you can craft from seaweed at a crafting station, Purple Bell Flowers from the Forest of Valor.
Players also need Blue Hydrangeas from Dazzle Beach, and Dream Shards, which can be get by digging up glowing spots in the ground.
Collect all of these before continuing.
Equip And Glide On The Carpet
After collecting everything, go back to Aladdin’s house. He will give you a magic scroll to upgrade the carpet.
Use the scroll on the carpet lying on the floor to complete the upgrade. Now that the Magic Carpet is upgraded, it’s time to test it.
Equip it from your Wardrobe (not your inventory) and go outside with Aladdin. You need to glide through these locations:
- Under the banner in the Plaza
- Through the Forest of Valor
- From the Plaza to Dazzle Beach
- Across the path where Dazzle Beach meets the Peaceful Meadow
- To the wooden dock near Skull Island
Make sure you glide through each spot correctly.
Finish The Bring Your Own Carpet Quest In Dreamlight Valley
After gliding through all the areas, talk to Aladdin again.
He will congratulate you and give you the Magic Carpet as a reward. Now you can glide through Dreamlight Valley anytime!
