HIGHLIGHTS
- The meaning of Bigfoot in today’s NYT Connections was just a word that ended with measuring unit, Foot; instead of a mythical creature which had a large, hairy, ape-like structure.
- Instagram didn’t relate to the popular social media app and was a word made with the measuring unit Gram. It came under the ‘Ending With Units Of Measure’ category.
- ‘Contact Via Telephone,’ ‘Levels Of Biological Organization,’ and ‘Parts Of A Car’ are the remaining categories of today’s edition.
NYT Connections features a 4×4 word grid in which players group words into four categories based on their underlying connection.
The daily puzzle includes some tricky categories, including some confusing words like Pisa and Coner in yesterday’s edition.
Similarly, in today’s edition, Bigfoot and Instagram aren’t what players initially thought, as they belong to a surprising category.
Answers For February 27 NYT Connections
After analyzing today’s NYT Connections, I noticed some familiar words on the grid, and the puzzle had a difficulty level of 3.3 out of 5.
For my first pick, I placed Call, Dial, Phone, and Ring together, making today’s yellow category titled “Contact Via Telephone.”
Next up, Atom, Cell, Compound, and Tissue were my picks as they are associated with components of physical elements.

However, I was a word away from getting the category right, so I switched some words and tried to get the next category.
Moreover, I chose Atom, Cell, Organ, and Tissue, which unfolded the blue category titled “Levels Of Biological Organization.”
Bigfoot Meaning In NYT Connections
With eight words remaining on the grid, I tried to play on the safe side and picked the words that made the most sense to me.
So, for my next attempt, I picked Belt, Horn, Mirror, and Wheel, which formed the green category titled “Parts Of A Car.”
Finally, I connected the four remaining words on the grid: Bigfoot, Compound, Instagram, and Thermometer. I still wasn’t sure about their connection as the words related to different things.

Moreover, the words made today’s purple category titled “Ending With Units Of Measure,” which was the most challenging to guess.
Initially, I thought that Bigfoot was related to the mythical creature which had a large, hairy, ape-like structure.
However, in today’s NYT Connections, the meaning of Bigfoot was just a word that ended with measuring unit, Foot.
Instagram Meaning With NYT Connections Final Category
Similarly, Instagram wasn’t a popular social media app. Instead, it was a word made with the measuring unit Gram.
The remaining words in the purple category, Compound, were formed with Pound and Thermometer, including the word Meter.

With that, I completed today’s edition of NYT Connections with the following answers and categories:
- Contact Via Telephone (Yellow): Call, Dial, Phone, Ring
- Levels Of Biological Organization (Blue): Atom, Cell, Organ, Tissue
- Parts Of A Car (Green): Belt, Horn, Mirror, Wheel
- Ending With Units Of Measure (Purple): Bigfoot, Compound, Instagram, Thermometer
