Pet The Dog In AC Shadows
To locate dogs, listen out for barking or whining sounds. Once you spot a dog, approach it calmly to avoid startling it. However, if you move too quickly, the dog might run away.
As you get close to a dog, a prompt will appear on your screen indicating that you can interact with it.
Thus, you can press the button “X” on PlayStation or “A” on Xbox, to pet the dog.
After petting the dog, it will be added to your list of pets, which you can view in your inventory or menu.
Thrown To The Dogs In Assassin’s Creed Shadows
“Thrown to the Dogs” quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a special pre-order exclusive side quest to acquire a pet named Tsuki-maru.
The quest begins at Tennoji Temple, located in the northwestern corner of the area.
However, the ground is covered with purple petals, making it easy to identify the location.
At the summit of the hill, you’ll find an abandoned dog; approach it and pet it to initiate the quest.
After petting the dog, a cutscene will reveal that the dog belonged to Ichiro and has been in a fight. The dog will then lead you to the next objective, so follow it westward.
Defeat Enemies
As you follow the dog, you’ll encounter a Samurai Duelist and his companions. They are looking for Ichiro’s dog and a key; to progress, you must defeat these enemies.
After defeating the duelists, you need to continue following the dog to a farmhouse.
Here, you’ll meet Takako, Ichiro’s sister-in-law, who is not fond of Ichiro. The dog has a key to Ichiro’s inheritance, which Takako wants.
The key is hidden under a building on the estate. To find it, crawl through a small hole at the back of the building.
Once you’ve found the key, return to the grave where you first met the dog; this will conclude the quest.
Upon completing the quest, you’ll learn that the dog’s name is Tsuki-maru.
However, Tsuki-maru will not immediately join your hideout. It will take a few days (in-game time) for Tsuki-maru to become part of your hideout.
