Answers For Today’s NYT Connections (April 23, 2025)
After closely analyzing today’s NYT Connections words, the first four words that crossed my mind were: Branch, Leaf, Root, and Trunk.
Each word I chose was part of the tree, which led me to the yellow group “Parts of Tree.”

Moving ahead with the remaining words, I grouped words like Act, Bit, Gag, and Muzzle, which was a mistake that I did not think of.
After losing one life, I got the green group “Comedic Routine,” which includes words like Act, Bit, Gag, and Sketch.
Paw And Muzzle Meaning In NYT Connections #682
As I progressed further in the game, with three remaining lives and two remaining groups, my eyes captured the words Fur, Muzzle, Paw, and Tail.
I wasn’t entirely sure how these words were connected, but I felt confident they were, as no other set of four words seemed to share a similar theme.
Trusting my instincts, I grouped them out and got the green group “Canine/ Feline Features”.

Muzzle in today’s NYT Connections game referred to the protruding part of the face, including the nose and mouth.
Meanwhile, Paw means the padded feet of cats and dogs, used for walking and gripping.
Tad And Bean Meaning In NYT Connections #682
With only four words remaining, I quickly grouped them out and got the purple title” ___Pole“.
In today’s game, Tad referred to Tadpole, a larval stage of a frog. A flag was a flagpole, a long bar that held a cloth banner representing a country, state, school, or team.
Likewise, Bean is Beanpole, a stick for supporting bean plants. A Maypole is a tall, decorative pole, often adorned with ribbons and flowers.

Finally, after getting all the titles and coloring up the grid, I was able to complete today’s NYT Connections game with the following answers;

- Comedic Routine (Blue): Act, Bit, Gag, Sketch
- Canine/Feline Features (Green): Fur, Muzzle, Paw, Tail
