Maris Fathom of Night, also known as Augur, is a Nightlord in Nightreign that players encounter during the Augur expedition.
Augur is an aquatic boss whose body is primarily composed of water, resembling a floating squid.
Even though it floats in the air, it usually stays close to the ground, so you can attack it with melee weapons.
Augur (Maris Fathom of Night) Sleep Attack In Nightreign
One of the most dangerous parts of this fight is the Sleep effect, which can easily defeat unprepared players.

During the battle, Augur will sometimes lie on its back and curl into a ball. This action starts a Sleep aura that spreads across the battlefield.
If players stay near Augur while it’s curled up, a Sleep bar will begin to fill up on their screen.
Further, if the bar fills up, players will begin to take damage over time. This can make it very hard to survive, especially when other attacks are also happening.
Stopping The Sleep Effect
To stop the Sleep effect in Nightreign, players should attack Augur as soon as it lies on its back and curls up.

Damaging the boss during this phase can interrupt the aura and prevent the Sleep build-up from getting too high.
You can also protect yourself from the Sleep effect by equipping relics and using builds that can give players Sleep resistance.
If you use the right relics and builds, the Sleep bar will fill more slowly, or may not fill at all.
Augur also uses powerful water and wind attacks during the fight, such as sweeping waves and strong gusts that push players back.

Furthermore, it can summon an exploding blob that floats toward players and explodes on contact.
Finally, Augur gathers water around its body and sends it toward players in a wide-range attack that can bounce along the ground. The best way to avoid it is by blocking or dodging through it.
