Dark Academia Quest In Destiny 2: The Edge Of Fate
On July 15, 2025, Destiny 2 launched its new expansion, The Edge of Fate, introducing multiple new pieces of content.
Like any other expansion, The Edge of Fate also offers several side quests that you can work on to earn extra rewards.

Dark Academia is one of the side quests that you will unlock after completing the Outer Steppes Strangelet quest.
Open The Door To Start Dark Academia Quest
Once you reach the quest area, you will see the glowing portal (door), which you must open to progress ahead in the Dark Academia quest.
Therefore, to unlock the door, you must destroy three glowing elements. The first one is located just next to the door area, but in the downward layers.

For the remaining 2 things, you must use morph. Once you have destroyed all three, the doors will be open, which will finally begin the real Dark Academia quest.
Dark Academia Quest Bug And Fixes
After opening the doors, you will enter the quest area, where you will receive objectives like interacting with Shrines and collecting objects.
While follwing the objectives, you will not progress further in the quest, and you will not find the remaining items to scan, making the quest quite bugged.
However, Bungie has not officially addressed the issue, but turning in the Strangelet and watching the cutscene between Lodi and Ikora will help you finish the quest.
