- A Friend in Need is a part of Diablo 4 Season 7 Seasonal Questline, which you can start by speaking to Caidin and then to Ouna near the Tree of Whispers.
- During the quest, you must clear the Breeding Roothold by completing several tasks, such as performing two rites, rituals, or ceremonies and uprooting exposed roots.
- To complete the quest, enter the Heart of Brambles, defeat the boss “Enraged Headless Husk,” and collect Fal’s Thane.
Season 7 of Diablo 4, titled “Season of Witchcraft,” was finally released on January 21, 2025, with an exciting event.
The new season introduces a bunch of new features and mechanics, including Witchcraft Powers and Occult Gems.
Along with these new features, you can explore a few new quests, including A Friend in Need, In The Name Of The Tree, and Poison In The Roots.
Diablo 4 Season 7 Quest “A Friend In Need”
Diablo 4 Season 7 is now available with a new season questline, where you need to help NPCs on their mission to earn specific rewards.
To unlock Season 7 Questline, you must complete the Epilogue from the game’s main storyline, or players with Seasonal Character can immediately access the Season Journey and the Battle Pass.
Once you have unlocked the questline, you can start your journey from the Oaths and Debts quest, where you need to expose roots and defeat a few enemies.
Progressing further with the seasonal questline, you will come across the semi-final mission, “A Friend in Need,” where you need to assist Ouna.
Speak To The NPCs
To start the “A Friend In Need” quest, you must speak to Caidin and then to Ouna, near the Tree of Whispers.
After speaking with the NPC at Tree of Whispers, you need to follow three map markers and again meet Ouna at the new location, “Scosglen.”
Once at the Scosglen, you must make your way to the Bleeding Roothold and clear the area by defeating enemies and performing rituals, rites, or ceremonies.
After completing these tasks, you shall begin uprooting Exposed Roots, which can be found in various locations, identifiable by their glowing blue light.
Enter The Heart Of The Brambles And Defeat The Boss
Once you enter Heart of the Brambles, you will encounter new objectives in defeating the boss and collecting Fal’thane’s Head.
You will find the area boss, “Enraged Headless Husk,” as soon as you enter the Heart of Brambles.
The boss has sets of powerful attacks and uses his two-sided axes to cause heavy damage. So you must dogue his axe attack and make your move.
Upon defeating the boss, it drops a Fugitive Head ( Fal’thane’s Head), which you must pick to progress in the quest line.
After collecting the head, you need to ask Ouna for quest completion, allowing you to gain a few XP and coins (I got 10,685 XP and 4,400 coins).
Later, after collecting your rewards, you can unlock the new quest,” Whispers in the Wind,” which will ask you to collect Grim Favors.
