The Insect Armor Set is one of the legendary items obtainable in Chapter 4 if you have Cold Iron Leaves, Fine Gold Thread, and Deathstinger.
While most crates contain crafting, including Fine Gold Thread and Silk, you should beat certain enemies to obtain a few of them.

To obtain the Venomous Sting armor chest crafting item, you should initially head to the Pool of Shattered Jade Shrine and defeat Venom Daoist, who will spawn from the Odd Cocoon once you destroy it.
Once you defeat the Venom Daoist in Chapter 4, you will also unlock a getaway to beat the Daoist Mi boss.
Defeat The Venom Daoist Again
For the secret area and chapter progression, you need to travel to the Court of Illumination in the Temple of the Yellow Flower.
After heading to the Shrine, you should mark your way down the small area, guarded by a couple of enemies, and look for an exit.
Further, you should follow the path and take a few stairs until you hear a strange voice.
Following the sound will take you to a sloppy path on the Bottom, which is the second spawn area of Venom Daoist.
The boss will spawn as soon as you enter the location; make sure you defeat it and unlock the Secret area: Purple Cloud Mountain.
Collect The Deathstinger
As you follow the Purple Mountain Area path, you will find the Valley of Blooms shrine, which is quite hard to miss.
If you navigate towards the close bridge and follow the right direction, you will reach Bounds of Deity’s Adobe. You can also take the left path to reach the Petalfall Hamlet Shrine.
Lastly, for the chest material, you must beat the Scorpionlord boss sitting by the roof of a tiny hut close to the Shrine’s stairs.
The boss will drop materials, including a Sky-piercing horn, Deathstinger, a couple of Fine Gold Threads, and Mind Core.
You can head to the Bounds of Deity’s Adobe Shrine and use the Crafting materials, Cold Iron Leaves x5, Fine Gold Thread x2, and Deathstinger x1.
The armor may not quite be one of the best in the game, but it still offers high damage from all Poison-inflicting attacks.
