Bootleg Tincture In Destiny 2
Tinctures are consumable items in Destiny 2 that provide various effects or enhancements to the player’s character.
Tincture of Queensfoil and Dark Ether are some of the previously known tinctures in Destiny 2 that were used to get Ascendant buff.
With the release of Past is Prologue in Destiny 2, players have come across a new tincture, “Bootleg Tincture,” that does not appear to be seen in inventory.
Start Past Is Prologue Event To Get Bootleg Tincture
To start, the Past is the Prologue event in Destiny 2; you should make your way to The Tower and interact with The Drifter.
The NPC will offer you a “Packed Lunch” questline, where you need to complete five Bento Boxes.
Here is a list of a few quests that you can work on to complete 5 Bento Box ;
- The Stuff of Legends
- Martial Mementos
- A Dubious Bento
- Nightmare Lunch
- Dredgens of Yore” (Xur exclusive)
Within each of these quests, you need a few clear dungeons, or even a few books, to collect the exclusive recent currency.
What Exactly Does Bootleg Tincture Do In Destiny 2
Once you complete all 5 Bento Token coins, you will be able to obtain Chatterwhite from the random drop.
Along with the Shader, you may also find the Bootleg Tincture randomly around the vending machines. Yet it’s not guaranteed that everyone will get it.

If you do obtain the Tincture, you might notice it does not have a specific use or even appear in your inventory, making the item quite mysterious.
While the developers have not revealed the exact purpose of the item, some players speculate it might become useful for trading in the next update.
