How To Build A “Research Institute” In Frostpunk 2?
The Research Institute is an essential building in Frostpunk 2, where you can advance your city’s technology and unlock new ideas.
Therefore, players must build a Research Institute to progress further in the game chapters. The steps below will guide you to construct the Research Institute in Frostpunk 2;
- Clear the surrounding ice using the Frostbreaking mechanic.
- Select the District Construction menu and choose the Housing District. ( require 200 Workforce, 40 Heatstamps, and 200 Prefabs)
- Click on the expand icon of the Housing District to unlock additional slots.
Once you have the additional slots in the District, you can use them to build a Research Institute.
To build the Research Institute in the Housing District Slot, you must invest in 100 Heatstamps, 50 Prefabs, and 400 Workforce members.
Once you have built the Institute, you will be able to access an Idea Tree, which replaces the traditional technology tree from the first game.
Furthermore, the Research Institute allows you to explore various resources, including costs, manpower, heatstamps, and prefabs.
Players can also build multiple Research Institutes to speed up their research progress in Frostpunk 2.
