How To Effectively Grow Canola In FS25
Canola is one of the most versatile and profitable crops to grow in Farming Simulator 25 (FS25).
However, to grow canola successfully, you must prepare the field, plant the seeds, care for the crop, and harvest it at the right time.
Getting The Field Ready And Planting Canola Seeds
The first step in getting the field ready involves checking if your field needs lime. Lime helps improve the soil, making your crops grow better.
To do this, open the soil map in the game, and if you see “Needs Lime,” buy lime and a spreader like the Bredal K105.
Further, attach the spreader to your tractor, fill it with lime, and cover the marked areas evenly.
Additionally, if there are stones in your field, use a stone picker to clear them out, as they can damage your tools.
Once the field is clear, if you have enabled manual plowing, use a plow or cultivator to turn the soil.
This step removes old crop stubble and prepares the field for planting.
Planting Canola Seeds And Fertilizing The Field
After preparing the field, it’s now time to plant the seeds. First, attach a seeder, such as the Great Plains Solid Stand 1500, to your tractor.
Furthermore, buy canola seeds from the shop and load them into the seeder, choosing “Canola” as the seed type.
Once everything is set, lower the seeder to the ground and start planting by driving in straight lines across the field.
Afterward, you will see the newly planted areas on the map. To get the best harvest, you will need to take care of the field.
Fertilizing is the easiest way to help your canola grow well. Use a fertilizer spreader and cover the field with fertilizer to ensure healthy crops.
If you want to keep things simple, you can turn off the “Weeds” option in the game settings.
However, if weeds are on, use a weeder to clear them before they can harm your crop.
Harvesting And Selling Canola In FS25
Once the canola is ready, attach a harvester with the right header and drive over the field to collect it.
After harvesting, you can either store the canola in a silo, mill it into canola oil, or sell it right away.
To maximize profits, check the market prices and sell at the right time to secure the best deal and earn more.
By following these steps, you can efficiently grow and profit from canola in FS25.
