Today’s NYT Connections puzzle had another set of fun categories for the players to figure out the connections between the words.
As usual, each category has its difficulty level, with Yellow being the easiest and Purple the hardest.
Let’s get into today’s Connections answers and the explanations for tougher words like “Cask” and “Usher”.
November 10’s NYT Connections Answers With Cask And Usher Meaning
Starting with the Yellow category, today’s theme was “Barrel-Shaped Containers”. This one was easy to solve since the words, Cask, Cylinder, Drum, and Tank all fit into this theme.
These words have the same shape and function so this was one of the easier ones for most.
The word Cask fits into the Yellow category as a “Barrel-Shaped Container”. A cask is a large container used for storing liquids like wine, often barrel-shaped so it fits this category.
Now onto the Green category, the theme was “Guide”. Pilot, Shepherd, Steer, and Usher all relate to leading or directing others.
This category, focused on words that mean guidance or leadership, was a bit tougher but doable with some thought.
Usher fits into the Green category for “Guide”. An usher is someone who leads people to their seats at events, guiding or directing, exactly what this category requires.
Next up is the Blue category which was “NFL Team Members”. This set included Cowboy, Jet, Ram, and Raven, all NFL team names.
This sports category required knowledge of team names and once I saw it, it was easy to connect.
And finally, the toughest of the Purple category was “Things That Swing”. Here Golfer, Pendulum, Saloon Doors and Swing all relate to objects or people that move back and forth.
This was the hardest of the puzzles as the theme was more abstract. Overall the November 10 Connections puzzle was fun and really entertaining to solve.
