Players can use the Cast on Freeze in POE 2 by finding Uncut Spirit Gems and engraving a Persistent Buff Skill gem.
These reactive skills can further unlock unique effects, improve the damage, increase one’s defenses, and more.
Cast on Freeze boosts energy generation for supported skills by 14%, allowing you to cast more powerful spells.
Additionally, you gain 100 energy whenever you freeze an enemy with a skill hit. However, this effect only triggers once per skill use.
When your energy reaches its maximum, all socketed spells are automatically triggered but this resets your energy to zero.
Furthermore, the maximum energy you can have depends on the base cast time of the socketed spells. For every 0.13 seconds of cast time, you gain 10 energy.
Additional effects include up to a 10% increase in fishing line strength. There is also further scaling of energy based on the base cast time of your socketed spells.
Use Cast On Freeze For Sorceress Build In POE 2
Cast on Freeze is a great skill for a starter Sorceress Frozen Explosion build.
Once you have slotted it, any skills Gems in Support gem sockets will automatically activate when you freeze enemies.
The first Support Gem you should use is Impetus, which increases the energy generated.
This makes Cast on Freeze trigger more often and allows linked skills to cast more frequently.
To complement the Impetus, equip Comet, which calls down a large rock that slams into the ground.
Finally, try equipping the Frostbolt Support Gem, which sends out a slow-moving projectile that deals cold damage.
This creates chilled ground, slowing enemies in its path and making them more vulnerable to additional cold damage.
