Players can utilize Spike’s super ability to create a patch of spikes on the ground. This deals damage over time and slows down enemies during the battle.
Meanwhile, following the release of the new season, Angel Vs. Demon on Brawl Stars made a few changes to available brawlers, including Spike.
Spike Makes A Comeback In Brawl Stars As A Player Icon
On November 8, 2024, Brawl Stars officially announced that Spike would be temporarily removed from the game.

– We are disabling Spike from the game until his exploit with Demonfire gets fixed

The developers removed Spike because of a game-breaking bug that allowed him to heal continuously when using the Fertilizer star power combined with the Demonfire modifier.
Meanwhile, after removing Spike from the game, Brawl Stars implemented a clever strategy by reintroducing Spike as a profile icon.
Now, even though Spike is not available as a playable character, players can still add the Spike profile icon to their accounts for free.
How To Get Spike Icon In Brawl Stars
To get Spike Icon free in Brawl Stars, the players can scan the available QR (shown in the image below) or visit the link.
The steps below will help you to unlock this new icon;
- Scan the QR or open the link
- Click on Claim Rewards (it will open the game on your device)
- Select the Claim option once you receive the prompt saying” Do you wish to claim your rewards now)
Moreover, players should ensure they open the link or scan the QR code using the device on which they’re playing Brawl Stars.
Once you have unlocked this new icon in Brawl Stars, you can use it to your profile icon; for this, you can go to your account profile and search for the Brawl Stars Spike Profile Icon.
