POE 2 To Introduce Damage Numbers
In a recent interview, Jonathan Rogers, the Technical Director for POE 2, claimed that he was previously against damage numbers.
He stated that having damage numbers pop up during battles would break the game’s immersion.
This changed when he saw how Elden Ring incorporated it, placing damage numbers above the enemies’ health bars.
Taking inspiration from the game, POE 2 incorporated damage numbers on bosses, displaying a basic DPS number above the boss’s health bar on the right.
