Answers For Today’s (December 6) NYT Connections And Words Meaning
After analyzing today’s NYT Connections words, the first four words that came to my mind were Perplex, Puzzle, Stump, and Vex.
As all these words seem to relate to the concept of baffling, leading them to form a group naturally.
So, grouping out that word, I got the yellow group titled “Baffle.”
Hex And Pox Meaning In NYT Connections #543
Moving on with the remaining words, I picked words like Hex, Pox, Jinx, and Spell, as all words seem to relate to some curse technique or witch.
Hex basically means to cast a spell on or bewitch someone, so with this meaning, words like Spell and Jinx naturally came up with Hex.
Meanwhile, the term “pox” has also been used figuratively to mean a curse or plague.
For example, “a pox upon you” could be used as an old-fashioned curse, wishing harm or bad luck on someone.
Later, grouping out all these words, I got the green group titled ” Curse. “

The first word that caught my attention was “Slinky,” which refers to the Slinky Dog from the Toy Story series.

The last word for the blue group titled “Toy Story” Characters, Familiarly, was Buzz, referring to Buzz Lightyear, a superhero action figure from an in-universe media franchise.
All Answers For #543 NYT Connections With Pilled And Mania Meaning
Now that only four words were remaining, I was pretty sure they were in the same group, but I couldn’t figure out how.
Each of the remaining words seems to have a different meaning, with Pilled being the past tense of pill, while Mania is a condition in which you have a period of abnormally elevated.
However, diverging from their original meanings, in today’s Connections game, Pilled refers to terms like Red Pilled and Black Pilled.
Mania referred to words like Bartmania and Beatlemania, which were created using colloquial suffixes. Meanwhile, Core referred to Hardcore and Gate to Gamergate.
Finally, I got the Purple title “Colloquial Suffixes” and completed today’s game with the following answers:
