Accessing Volcano Layer In Fisch
Before accessing the Volcano Layer in Fisch, players must first build a submarine, which is essential for exploring Mariana’s Veil.
To start, head to Roslit Bay (coordinates: -1320, 130, 300) and speak with Dr. Glimmerfin, who will provide you with a Drill.
There are five parts required to construct the submarine: Windows, Submarine Top, Side Fins, Metal Panels, and Back Fins.
Each part has a 5% drop chance, so you may need to drill multiple rocks to collect all the components.
Return To The Submarine Frame
Once you have gathered all the parts, return to the submarine frame at the docks in Roslit Bay.
Then, interact with the frame and place each part one at a time by equipping them from your hotbar.
After assembling the submarine, talk to Dr. Glimmerfin again. He will unlock the path to Mariana’s Veil, allowing you to use your newly built submarine to access deeper areas of the game.
The submarine can now be spawned and controlled like any boat, enabling you to explore the Volcanic Vents and beyond.
Once your submarine is ready, enter it and navigate through the tunnels leading to the Volcanic Vents area.
Surviving The Temperature
As you explore the volcanic vents, your temperature bar will rise due to the extreme heat. If it gets too high, your character will die.
To mitigate this risk, you must set your spawn point by speaking to the NPC located in the area. This will save your progress in case you encounter any difficulties.
Additionally, make sure to obtain the Glimmerfin Suit, which will protect you from the extreme heat in the Volcanic Vents.
Gathering Resources
To advance in this layer, you need to gather four essential resources:
- Lava Crystal
- Inferno Hide
- Blister Black Blenny
- Infernal Iguana Fish
However, you can find Lava Crystals by drilling at specific holes throughout the environment.
Fishing For Specific Fish
In the Volcanic Vents area, you’ll need to fish for specific species to complete your resource collection.
Start by fishing for Inferno Hide, which is a common catch in this area. Next, target the Infernal Iguana Fish using the appropriate bait for best results.
Further, look for the Blister Black Blenny, which prefers Fishhead bait and is more likely to be caught during clear daytime conditions in the summer season.
Additionally, there is a secret fish known as the Magma Leviathan that you will need for later access to other areas.
Claiming The Volcanic Rod And Advancing
Once you have gathered all necessary resources, proceed to claim the Volcanic Rod, which can be found in the fishing area.
After collecting all required items, place them on the designated podium. This action will reward you with the Glimmerfin Suit, which provides protection against extreme heat.
Finally, with your new gear equipped, you will receive a Heat Upgrade that allows you to progress to the next layer of Mariana’s Veil.
