Answers For Today’s NYT Connections With Words Meaning (January 8, 2025)
As each category in Connections has its own difficulty level, I started my game by choosing the words Ear, Memory, Trunk, and Tusk.
I thought it would make the green category, but instead, I got the blue category titled “Distinctive Features Of An Elephant.”
While words like Ear, Trunk, and Tusk referred to the animal’s physical features, the word Memory pointed to the elephant’s sharp instinct that helps them survive in the wild.
Mallet Meaning In Today’s NYT Connection (#577)
Moving forward on the game, I still had twelve words remaining, and I couldn’t seem to find a way to finish today’s edition.
Soon, I grouped Branch, Division, Bow, and Wing as those were the only words that kept making sense to me.
However, it was a futile effort as I was a word away. Quickly, I chose Branch, Division, Limb, and Wing and got the yellow category “Section.”
Then, it occurred to me that Bow, Drumstick, Mallet, and Pick are related to playing instruments.
Luckily, the green category with the title “Accessories For Playing An Instrument” appeared on the screen. In today’s NYT Connections, Mallet referred to a wooden stick with a padded head, used for hitting instruments.
Lincoln Meaning In NYT Connections With Final Categories
With just four words remaining in the spread, I grouped Biscuit, Corn, Lincoln, and Stained without a clear understanding of the category.
Moreover, the purple category with the title “Words Misspelled In NU Metal Band Names” added more to the confusion.
After a quick search, I realized that Lincoln meaning wasn’t a common surname in today’s NYT Connection.
Lincoln actually referred to Linkin Park, a rock band, but with the wrong spelling. The other words in the category referred to Limp Bizkit (Biscuit), Korn (Corn), and Staind (Stained).
So, after losing a life and a lot of thinking, I completed the NYT Connections January 8, 2025 edition with the answers;
