Ma Tianba Wukong Chapter One: Bamboo Grove
In Chapter One of Black Myth: Wukong, players can find Ma Tianba at the Back Hills Shrine after defeating Lingxuzi.
To access him, you can descend the stairs from the shrine and immediately look to the left to discover a small alcove.
Inside this alcove, Ma Tianba is sitting on a log, providing players with their first encounter with this significant ally.
Interact with him by engaging in conversation until he prompts you to continue your journey, marking the beginning of your questline with this character.
Chapter Two: Yellow Wind Ridge
In Chapter Two, players can locate Ma Tianba in Sandgate Village. To access him, first teleport to the Valley of Despair, then ascend the stairs on the right until you find a house with a rope bridge.
You can navigate through the weak barrier beneath the roof to reach the area where Ma Tianba is tied up.
However, before you can free him, you must defeat the Yaoguai Chief Rock Wolf, who is guarding him.
Once you have successfully defeated this enemy, interact with Ma Tianba again to engage in conversation until he encourages you to proceed on your journey.
Chapter Three: The New West
In Chapter Three, players can find Ma Tianba at the New Thunderclap Temple.
To access him, you must start from the Temple Entrance and proceed past the first altar, then ascend the left stairs.
You can continue up another set of stairs that lead to a building inhabited by blind Thunderclap monks.
Once you reach the upper level, turn left to locate Ma Tianba standing by a pillar.
Engage in conversation with him until he encourages you to move forward, advancing your questline and deepening your connection with this pivotal character.
Chapter Four: The Webbed Hollow
Chapter Four takes players to the Middle Hollow, where they can encounter Ma Tianba once again.
After defeating the Centipede Yaoguai boss, you can explore the depths of the caverns, and you will hear Ma Tianba’s voice struggling inside a cocoon.
To free him, you simply strike the cocoon, it will release him. Upon freeing him, Ma Tianba will express his gratitude and promise to meet you in the next area, further solidifying his role as a valuable ally throughout your journey.
Chapter Five: Flaming Mountains
In Chapter Five, players can find Ma Tianba in Furnace Valley after defeating the Keeper of Flaming Mountains boss.
To access him, you must head towards the Valley Entrance and look for the Elemental Cart located on the right side, just before the Cloudy Mist boss fight.
Further, you can interact with the cord situated in the mouth of the Elemental Cart to initiate a conversation with Ma Tianba.
However, you must be cautious, as pulling the cord multiple times will lead to his demise, although it will also unlock the powerful Dark Thunder transformation ability.
