Marvel Rivals is NetEase’s upcoming shooter game, which will most likely released before 2025’s Q1.
The game was available for early access in May and has announced a new closed beta from July 23 to August 5.
Even though NetEase is in its second closed testing phase, there is still no sign of the Open Beta.
Marvel Rivals Closed Test Phase Is Live
NetEase hasn’t confirmed the exact release date for Marvel Rivals, which suggests the Devs might run multiple tests before the official release.
The current closed beta is available for multiple platforms, including Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
If you have not received the test code yet, you have a very small chance of being invited, as the codes are already sent to players on 23 July.
You should head to the Marvel Rivals’s Steam Page, click Join Marvel Rivals Play Test, and tap Request Acess.
As there are hundreds of thousands of requests, you might get a chance to enjoy the playtest before the official release.
Moreover, players who have reached Level 10 in the Alpha test can join the current beta test without any codes.
For PS5 or Xbox Series X|S users, the only option is to get invited via friends or Twitch drops, as the questionnaire form has expired.
The Twitch drop event will run from 25 July to 28 July; you should watch Marvel Rival’s eligible stream.

Marvel Rival Open Beta Release Is Uncertain
As the official release is due in 2025, the NetEase game will likely release a couple more Closed beta before opting for open beta testing.
The developers collect feedback from a maximum number of players in the beta phase to improve gameplay, character design, and other mechanisms.
As the Closed Beta is only available for certain regions, North America, Europe, and Asia, there should be another test phase before the global test release.
Moreover, NetEase games are also actively working to provide a better gaming experience and optimization for every platform.
In that regard, we can expect another couple more tests (both open and closed) before the game’s release.
However, it is uncertain if NetEase games will run an Open Beta test before the official release.
