In NYT Connections, you are given a 4 x 4 word grid with difficulty ranging from yellow to purple, with yellow being the easiest and purple the most difficult.
You don’t have to go in order of difficulty; you can start from whichever seems easier to you. However, players tend to solve the yellow category first.
I tend to solve the yellow category first, but today, it was the green category, which was quite easy.
After this, I went on and made the mistake of choosing a Car thinking of driving a car, but later got it correct. With this, I also got the Blue category sorted.
Meaning Of Pinto In Today’s NYT Connections
The word Pinto confused me in the beginning, and after a brief search, I found it meant spotted and molted.
Furthermore, having seen the word Mung had reminded me of the Beans but got confused in the earlier moments due to the variety of the words especially Pinto and Navy.
At first glance, the word Navy reminded me of the Naval Force, which confused me further.
With the words down to half, I was certain the next category would be Beans, considering the words Mung and Kidney.
Taking a chance, I selected the words Mung, Navy, Kidney, and Pinto, and surely enough, it was the next Beans category. Finally, with this move, I got the Yellow category sorted.
With only four words left, I was at the end of the game but got curious about how these words would be in the same category.
So, before grouping them, I went ahead to look for their similarities and typed in Liver. But before I could click enter, I was suggested to the English football club, Liverpool.
This suggestion made the word Whirlpool, the appliance brand, come to mind. So, I guessed they all have a pool in them.
