You will also need to craft a Tranquilizer Throwing Needle at the Supplies Workbench.
Once you find a fox in the wild, attack it until its health drops below the white line. Be careful not to kill it.
When its health drops below the white bar, throw the Tranquilizer Throwing Needles at it to put it to sleep.
Approach the animal and press F to capture it. Then, place your new pet in your Inventory under Tools.
Animals start with a Tameness level of 0. Increase the Tameness level to unlock the animal’s resource output, behavior, and traits.
