The 2024 Halloween event for New World: Aeternum was released on October 22 and runs until November 5.
This update introduces the Nightveil Hallow event, the world boss Baalphazu, and exclusive Halloween-themed costumes.
2024 Halloween Event In New World: Aeternum
To begin the event, you can visit any Aeternum settlement and find the Nightveil Cauldron, marked by a pumpkin on the map.
Talk to Salvatore to start the quest “Baalphazu’s Fall,” which involves slaying the world boss Baalphazu.
Baalphazu World Boss In New World: Aeternum
Baalphazu, a level 66 world boss with 23 million HP, spawns in six zones across Aeternum.
These zones include Ebonscale Reach, Brightwood, Great Cleave, Weaver’s Fen, Eden Grove, and Morningdale.
Due to the boss’s large the boss fight is recommended for a large group preferably consisting of 10 or more players.
Baalphazu has high damage mitigation, making standard attacks less effective unless certain strategies are used.
However, players can break the boss’s stamina bar, allowing their standard attacks to deal significantly more damage.
To break his stamina bar, defeat the small pumpkin creatures that spawn in his arena.
Once you defeat Baalphazu, these creatures drop pumpkin heads, which you can throw at Baalphazu to weaken him.
After breaking his stamina, use your strongest attacks to deal significantly more damage.
Upon defeating Baalphazu, you will receive Baalphazu Armor, costumes, and Ichor as rewards.
Players can earn Baalphazu Armor pieces up to five times and costumes up to three times daily.
You will have to deliver Ichor to Salvatore to prove your victory and complete the Nightveil Hallow questline.
Upon quest completion, you will earn a Nightveil Hallow Cache with tokens, weapon patterns, and event shop access.
You can exchange additional Ichor for Nightveil Cauldron Caches, which contain more tokens and event loot.
Costumes And Trick-Or-Treat In 2024 Halloween Event
Players can transform into characters like Captain Thorpe, Adiana, Anubian Reaver, and Lost Monarch during the event.
Costumes are available throughout the event at town centerpieces or as drops from Baalphazu.
After changing into a costume, you will have to explore each town to find hidden Treat Baskets.
These baskets may contain Baalphazu armor, Nightveil Tokens, or the unique consumable, “Candy”.
“Candy” comes in four flavors and adds an extra festive touch to the event. You need to explore multiple Treat Baskets to discover the surprises that await in each one.
Nightveil Tokens can be spent at the event shop to purchase exclusive Halloween rewards.
These rewards include the Basket of Treats Housing Item, Possessed Walk Emote, and Chiroptera’s Cowl Helm Skin.
