HIGHLIGHTS
- You can overcome the Version Mismatch issue in No Man’s Sky by using the same Patch update.
- Xbox and Nintendo Switch players cannot co-op with PlayStation or Steam players, as Worlds Part 1 is not available on either Platform.
- If the issue still persists, verify file integrity or restart your platforms.
No Man’s Sky released Patch 5.0 on July 17, 2024, the game’s biggest update ever, with new graphics and technologies.
The new update, Worlds Part 1, is available only on just limited platforms: PS4, PS5, and PC.
Moreover, many players are facing version mismatch issues, probably for that reason.
No Man’s Sky Version Mismatch Issue
Version Mismatch shouldn’t be a new issue if you have played lots of online or co-op games before.
You may get the message on No Man’s Sky when trying to join a friend’s session on a mission to defeat enemies or explore planets.
This issue can arise when you or one of your friends have an updated game version.
As Hello Games released the new Patch: World’s Part 1 for limited platforms, all of the players may not have the same version.
Even though players have the crossplay option, PC players can only play with Xbox or PlayStation ones if they have the same version.
As the Nintendo and Xbox updates are due, you cannot play with the players using those platforms if you have Patch 5.0 already.
However, if the patch is already out for your platforms, you should update it to the latest version.
Use The Same Version
If you have either Xbox or Nintendo, you may have to wait a couple of days before the Patch release to co-op with PC or PlayStation players.
However, the Mismatch Version issue won’t appear if you and other players have the same Xbox or Nintendo version.
While PC and PS players have already received a Hotfix, players on the remaining platforms have yet to receive the update, frustrating many fans.
For instance, if Steam players are trying to co-op with PlayStation players, they should have the same version even if you have Worlds Part 1.
If you are still facing the Version Mismatch issue despite having the same version, you can try verifying the game’s integrity or restarting the platform and game.
