HIGHLIGHTS
- Power Charges are one of three types of charges that enhance skills when used during activation.
- Players can hold up to 3 Power Charges at once, which last 20 seconds and reset when gaining the same type.
- Monks can generate Power Charges with Lightning skills or kills, but for bosses, you need to use a crit build with Hand of Chayula skill.
Path of Exile 2 (PoE 2) brings in new mechanics while keeping and improving old ones from the first game.
Charges in PoE 2 do not provide direct benefits on their own but are used for powering various skills and effects.
The early access of PoE 2 features three types of Charges: Endurance, Frenzy, and Power.
POE 2: Power Charges
Power Charges are one of three basic charge types. They boost skills by being used when the skills are activated.
All Charges last for 20 seconds by default and reset the timer when you gain another charge of the same type.
Players can hold up to 3 Power Charges at the same time by default.
If your starting character in PoE 2 is a Monk then Power Charges will help in having a perfect Monk.
Power Charge Generation For Monk
Monk class characters can create Power Charges generally by using Lighting Skill or by killing enemies.
However, these Charge-generation methods are viable when you have to fight a boss. Players then have to pivot and use a crit Monk build to create Power Charges.
To create a crit Monk build that focuses on generating Power Charges, you need to first equip Hand of Chayula skill Gem.
Players then need to equip Sniper’s Mark and Profusion as the Support Gem for the Hand of Chayula skill.
Additionally, you also need to unlock the Resonance Keystone from the passive skill tree as it converts Frenzy Charge to Power Charge.
Once you have completed the above steps, you will need to use the Hand of Chauyula skill to apply Sniper’s Mark on an enemy.
Since this build relies on crit, make sure to have a good amount of crit on your Monk.
