The re-release of Anime Adventures introduces new units while changing the models and names of old units.
Menace is the new name for the Stain meta unit that was released and obtainable during the 2023 Christmas Event.
Anime Adventures Menace Unit
As Menace in Anime Adventures was only available during last year’s Christmas event, players cannot currently obtain Menace.
However, the re-release of Anime Adventures has introduced several new units that can replace Menace.
New players can swap Menace for Elf Mage, Dark Mage, or Siren, with Dark Mage being the best choice.
The abilities of Dark Mage and its evolution make it a strong replacement for Menace in Anime Adventures.
Dark Mage provides valuable skills and increased damage output, especially after evolving into Dark Mage (Fallen Star).
This makes it a versatile unit that can take Menace’s place in your lineup.
Obtain And Evolve Dark Mage To Replace Menace
Dark Mage is a new secret unit that can only be obtained by completing a secret stage that unlocks after you use the Dark Mage’s Portal.
You can get the Dark Mage’s portal by participating in the new holiday event.
Once you have completed 20 waves of the stage you will obtain the Dark Mage secret unit along with several rewards.
To evolve Dark Mage, players need to head to the evolve section of the lobby, located between the Traits and Limit Break sections.
Further, you need to collect the following items to evolve him into the Dark Mage (Fallen Star):
- Black Spear x1
- Star Fruit x12
- Star Fruit (Blue) x3
- Star Fruit (Red) x5
- Star Fruit (Green) x4
- Star Fruit (Rainbow) x1
Players can buy the Black Spear from the Holidays Shop for 5000 Holiday Stars. Additionally, you need to have 5000 takedowns using the base version of Dark Mage.
Once you have evolved Dark Mage, his attack will increase by 50% and he will gain Black Rain ability.
When you upgrade Dark Mage (Fallen Star) in a map, he will gain abilities and increase his DMG. Finally, upgrade 7 unlocks Black Rain transforming him into a full AoE multi-hit unit.
