Bear In Once Human Patch 1.1 Update
Among all the tamable animals in Once Human, the Bear is one of the most useful, as it provides base protection and meat.
Players can find two types of bears in Once Human: Small Bears and Bears. Each can be found in Chalk Peak along the coast, northwest of the Monolith of Thirst.
Players can capture these animals from the locations and bring them back to their base to create a farm and generate useful resources like meat and shelter.
However, capturing and taming these animals at your base can be challenging, as they will attack you when approached.
How To Tame A Bear In Once Human?
To tame a bear in Once Human, you must unlock the Animal Capture Memetic from the Logistics tab. This costs 7 Ciphers and 2,000 Energy Links.
To unlock this menu, you need to work on the two formulas, Whistle and Tranquilizing Throwing Needles, which you can craft through Intermediate or Advanced Supplies Workbench.
Additionally, to craft these tools, you will need the following materials;
- Steel Ingots
- Engineering Plastics
- Rubber
- Stardust Sources
Furthermore, once you have both tools, locate the Bear and lower its health to a white or green line using your weapon skills.
After the Bear is in weak health, aim the Tranquilizing Throwing Needles on it and wait for it to fall asleep.
Once you capture the animals, you can tame them to your base; for this, you need to build a Pen at your base using fences to prevent the bears from escaping.
Furthermore, you should also build an Animal Trough to feed them. Fish, fruits, grass, and vegetables are some foods you can feed the Bear.
Additionally, players can interact with the animals to view detailed information about them, including their tameness and diet.
Players should maintain a tameness level above 20%; if it falls below this threshold, the animal will escape.
When tameness is above 50%, the animal provides resources like hide and meat, and at 100% tameness, it yields even more significant resources.
