How To Unlock Dragon Companions In Dreamlight Valley
Players can find Dragons exclusively in the Everafter Biome of the Storybook Vale.
However, you need to collect at least 200 Story Magic to open Wild Woods of Everafter Biome.
Once inside, you can start interacting with Baby Dragons, who are usually friendly but might initially act shy.
Currently, the game includes four Baby Dragon variants available for taming:
- Blue Baby Dragon
- Red Baby Dragon
- Green Baby Dragon
- Purple Baby Dragon
Each Dragon has a slightly different feeding schedule, so plan accordingly to unlock them as companions.
Feeding Pure Ice To Dragons In Dreamlight Valley
To unlock a Baby Dragon as your companion, you need to feed it Gems for a specific number of days.
Blue, Red, and Green Baby Dragons become Companions after 3 days of feeding, while Purple Dragons require 4 days.
When interacting with a Baby Dragon, you can offer Magma, Pure Ice, or any Gem.
Magma and Pure Ice are their favorite foods and they provide enhanced rewards.
Feeding a Baby Dragon a Gem can reward you with items like a Decal, a Dream Shard, or a Memory Shard.
On the other hand, giving it its favorite food increases the chance of earning 2x Petrified Wood, a Dream Shard, or a Memory Shard as bonus rewards.
Players can find Pure Ice in Dreamlight Valley by mining ore nodes in the Wild Woods and find Magma by mining the ore nodes in Elysian Fields.
