“The Last Wish” Quest Walkthrough In Stalker 2
Strelok assigns “The Last Wish” as the main quest to players in STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, with the first objective being to reach Kaimonov’s Cabin.
Now let us get on the choices that were made by me and how this quest in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was completed.
You can started by following the marker on the map just like i did and head towards Kaimonov’s Cabin in the Red Forest.
Once near the cabin, a barrier seems to be surrounding it, but passage through is effortless.
Upon entering the barrier, Dr. Kaimono is found to be chopping logs and a cutscene unfolds.
The two characters have a conversation between them and a dialogue option opens up later with the options of “lower the gun” or “fire”.
Choosing the second option of firing, you will be able to lock the Strelok’s ending.
With Kaimonov dead, the environment changes and there is lightning shooting around the house.
Players can run into the house trying to go into the basement after which a change in scene occurs.
After the storm passes, waking up, it seems there is an exit to the basement, and another door leading to a lab.
Further investigation leads to the discovery of another door which leads to a small office through a tunnel.
The Cartridge
Here a cartridge same as Strider’s can be found on the table. Upon picking it up and exiting the basement there is an encounter with NPC Ritcher.
The cartridge found in the office within the tunnel can be used in Orbita to repeat the experiment.
A vision of Strelok and the birth of the Zone can be seen after installing the Cartridge and entering the pod.
This finding does not change the final quest but brings about changes to the objectives of the quest.
Towards The Top Of The Red Fortress
Progressing through the mission you will meet Ritcher and have the several option to choose your progression.
After the conversation, heading forward towards the Red Fortress with Ritcher, the quest updates new objectiive “Defeat the ‘Monolithians’.
As we move on towards the marked area, we are faced with enemies from whose attack Ritcher is highly damaged.
After helping Ritcher, we move on towards the Fortress eliminating any enemies in our way.
All the while watching out for some areas scattered with blue lightning which explode on contact.
As I neared the top, a number of enemies appeared, causing panic, but I managed to reach safety. At this point, voids appeared, seemingly pulling everything toward them.
These were avoided with the help of bolts, and passage to the other side was made.
Climbing the stairs and eliminating any remaining enemies led to the rooftop of the Red Fortress.
Once you reach the top you will face Strelok their, which whome you can discuss about the death of Kaimonov.
Thereafter, Strelok opens up a portal through which we both pass through marking the completion of the quest and the start of “Let No One Leave Unsatisfied” Quest.
Even if Players choose to not kill Dr. Kamainov, it doesnt change the final outcome during the quest.
