Throne and Liberty is a free-to-play, guild-focused MMORPG developed by NCSOFT.
Players can transform into various creatures to explore and fight across land, sea, and air, adapting to changing environments.
Significantly, in Throne and Liberty, for your fishing journey, you’ll first need to acquire essential equipment, specifically fishing bait.
Equipment For Fishing In Throne And Liberty
In Throne and Liberty, fishing is a rewarding life skill that allows players to gather materials for cooking and other game mechanics.
Players start with the Bamboo Fishing Rod, which can be obtained for free by talking to an NPC across from the Contract Coin Merchant.
Alternatively, by completing the “Adventures of the Expedition” quest in Chapter 3. Moreover, it can be purchased for 300 Contract Coins.
Additionally, the primary bait to use is Paste Bait, which can be bought in boxes of 50 from the Contract Coin Merchant for 30 Contract Coins (limited to one box per day).
Types Of Fishing Rods
While the Bamboo Fishing Rod is suitable for beginners, players can later acquire better rods such as:
- Steel Fishing Rod
- Monster Bone Fishing Rod
- Tevent Fishing Rod
These rods can be crafted using materials like Nature’s Jade, which is primarily obtained through fishing or Mystic Portals.
Significantly, upgrading rods enhances fishing efficiency and increases the likelihood of catching valuable items.
Mechanics Of Fishing In Throne And Liberty
Equip the fishing rod and bait from your character menu. Then, approach a suitable fishing spot (indicated by a blue highlight) and press F to cast your line.
However, if the area is red, it means fishing is not possible there. Once a fish bites, two stamina bars will appear one for the player and one for the fish.
Thus, players must manage their stamina while pulling in the opposite direction of the fish’s movement (using A and D keys) to deplete its stamina. If the player’s stamina runs out first, the fish escapes.
