Achieving Hero Of The Veilguard Status
In Dragon Age Veilguard, each companion has their own set of companion quests that you will need to complete.
You can achieve Hero of the Veilguard status by completing the final quest of a companion’s questline.
In the final companion quest, players will have a major choice which directly impact what Veilguard skill and Legendary armor the companion will get.
Steps To Achieve Neve’s Hero Of The Veilguard Status
Neve will achieve the Hero of the Veilguard status after you complete the “The Returned Cultist Case” companion quest.
During this mission, players must choose between having Neve protect Dock Town or bringing hope to the town.
If you choose to protect Dock Town, Neve will gain the Winter’s Wrath skill and Threader’s Plate armor.
The Winter’s Wrath skill increases Neve’s critical and ability damage, while Threader’s Plate armor causes detonated enemies to remain sundered after detonation.
However, if you choose to bring hope to Dock Town, she will gain Cold Justice and Investigator’s Robes.
The Cold Justice Veilguard skill enhances Neve’s chilled and frozen effects, while Investigator’s Robes allow her detonations to lower enemy cold resistance.
Neve will face this decision just before the final boss in her companion quest, City of Shadows.
Completing it will grant Neve the Hero of the Veilguard status.
Attaining Lucanis’ Hero Of The Veilguard Status
Lucanis attains the Hero of the Veilguard status once players complete all Treviso Faction quests.
However, his Legendary Armor and Veilguard Skill will depend on the choice made during the “A Murder of Crows” quest.
For an offensive upgrade, players should have Lucanis imprison Illario.
This choice grants him the Demon of Defiance skill and Crow’s Tenacity armor, boosting his damage and increasing the stagger potency of his detonations.
These enhancements favor a more aggressive playstyle, making them more versatile for combat scenarios.
If Lucanis forgives Illario, he obtains the Demon of Rebellion skill and Crow’s Poise armor.
This combination is more utility-focused, enhancing his resistances, barrier damage, and granting a secondary detonation.
Players who supported Minrathous over Treviso can only choose to imprison Illario, guaranteeing the Demon of Defiance skill and Crow’s Tenacity armor.
This decision to forgive or imprison Illario occurs near the end of the “A Murder of Crows” companion quest.
Completing this final quest will grant Lucanis the Hero of the Veilguard status.
