What Is Rubicon Surgery In Warhammer 40k
Rubicon Primaris is a term denoting the extensive operation procedure that allows the ‘firstborn Space Marines’ to be reborn as ‘Primaris Space Marines.’
The Space Marines must be mentally and physically prepared for the agonizing Rubicon surgery procedure.
As per the Warhammer 40k lore, expert surgeons, Servitors, perform the operation. The procedure involves opening up the body of Marines from crown to heel.
Moreover, the surgery leaves visible scars on the Space Marines who go through the Rubicon Primaris.
During the Rubicon surgery, surgeons insert three additional organs into the bodies of Space Marines, providing them with increased growth, adrenaline, and improved general stability.
Similarly, the Rubicon surgery transforms the Space Marines into a completely different unit, both emotionally and physically.
The upsides to Rubicon surgery are well-documented, but the surgery has a high failure rate. Surgeons consider Mephiston the first to undergo the Rubicon surgery.

When the character wakes up again, he finds himself in Kadaku’s Orbit. The Ultramarines inform him that although the wound was fatal, Titus survived only through the Rubicon Surgery.
Ultramarines informed him that the Rubicon surgery made him stronger, faster, and more resilient.
Further, Titus initiates the brutal space combat journey with his brothers Chairon and Gadriel.
The effects of Rubicon surgery are seen throughout. Two days later, Titus informs the brothers about his Rubicon Surgery after a sudden pain across his shoulder.
