Unknown World Entertainment is back with Sabnautica’s successor more than ten years after its release.
The Subnautica 2 Teaser is out on official channels, but it’s too early to get your hands on the game, as its release is scheduled for 2027 to 2028.
Thankfully, if you are a big fan of the open-water survival game, early access will start in 2025, which was earlier announced in Xbox Partner Preview.l
Sabnautica 2 To Enable Crossplay?
Sabnautica 2’s teaser looks extremely promising, with new biomes, creatures, and diverse ecosystems.
The game will also feature a new ocean planet, genetic modification, and co-op in a terrifying environment to face enemies like Leviathan.
To explore the water -biome with your friends, Subnautica will include a multiplayer co-op mode for up to four players.
If you played the predecessor, one thing must have bugged you a lot: the Crossplay restriction or the lack of a multiplayer feature at all.
Crossplay Is A Real Possibility
With the first teaser release, the developers have only confirmed the early access date for the PC (Steam, Epic Games, and Windows Store) and Xbox X|S platforms.
However, the developers have yet to provide official information on whether cross-platform play will be supported. Given that the game has yet to introduce PvP, the feature is highly possible.
On the other hand, as developers previously clarified, the game is not designed for multiplayer, which can lead to mixed views on its future.
With the early access getting closer, you can try keeping an eye on the game’s official accounts to get called for the test phases.
Howver, if you are a console user, you may have to wait for longer than a PC, just like the base game’s release.
