HIGHLIGHTS
- Yang refers to the active male principle of the universe (in Chinese philosophy), aligning with its original meaning; in today’s NYT Connections game, it is included in the “Associated Principle In Chinese Philosophy” a purple group.
- Expansive, Light, and Mauscline are other words that complete today’s NYT Connections Purple group.
- Attain, Large Group, and Parts of a Ship are the remaining categories for November 25 NYT Connections.
NYT Connections always challenges players with some difficult words that are tricky to group together.
Words like Licorice and Ball-in-Cup, Lurch and Heave have seemed quite tough in previous games, as they didn’t seem to fit with any other words.
Similarly, in today’s Connections game, you will find words like Yang, Flock, and Expansive, which are challenging to figure out.
Answers For Today’s NYT Connections (November 25)
After closely analyzing today’s Connections words, the first four words that came to my mind were Earn, Land, Score, and Win, as they somehow seem similar.
So, while trying to group the words instead of Land, I clicked on Light, which led me to lose one attempt by mistake.
However, after correcting my mistake and grouping out those words, I got the yellow group titled “Attain.”
Further analyzing the remaining words, I came across words like Anchor, Bow, Bridge, and Deck, which seem to be parts of the Ship (they remind me of the Ship of Theseus Movie).
Later, after grouping them out, I got the blue group, titled “Parts of a Ship“.
Flock Meaning In NYT Connections With Green Group Words
Now that only 8 words were remaining, I thought I would move on with the game quickly, so picking up one random word and trying to connect it with another, I picked Flock.
A flock is basically a group of birds of one kind feeding, resting, or traveling together, so with this meaning, I got the other word, Crowd.
So, considering the other remaining words, I picked Host and Sea, as they seem to align with Crowd and Flock.
After grouping them out, I got the Green group titled “Large Group.”
Yang And Expansive Meaning In NYT Connections With All Groups
Now that only four words remain, I was a bit confused by them as all the reaming does not seem to be similar anyhow.
Yang is the active male principle of the universe, characterized as male and creative and associated with heaven, heat, and light (in Chinese Mythology).
Meanwhile, Expansive refers to covering a wide area in terms of space or scope; extensive. So, the connection between these words seems quite hard to figure out.
On the other hand, the term expansive is often associated with the concept of Yang. Yang represents the active, creative, and expansive principle in the universe (as per Chinese philosophy).
Later, after grouping them out, I got the title “ Associated Principle In Chinese Philosophy,” which cleared all my doubts.
Finally, with the purple-titled group being revealed, I completed today’s connection game with the following answers;
- Attain (Yellow): Earn, Land, Score, Win
- Parts of a Ship (Blue): Anchor, Bow, Bridge, Deck
- Large Group (Green): Crowd, Flock, Host, Sea
- Associated Principle In Chinese Philosophy (Purple): Expansive, Light, Masculine, Yang
