The Temple of Chaos, hidden within the Vaal Jungle in Act Three, is your path to Ascendancy in POE 2.
To enter the Trial of Chaos in Path of Exile 2, you need a Token from an NPC known as the Trialmaster.
Before entering the trial, each time you complete a room, you will be offered a choice between three tribulations.
Tribulations are negative modifiers that remain throughout the rest of the trial, increasing its difficulty.
The Trial of Chaos is a combat-focused challenge, with each room presenting different obstacles you must overcome.
Once you complete the room’s objective, you can either take the rewards you’ve earned so far or increase both the reward and difficulty by choosing another tribulation.
Unlike the Trial of Sekhemas, you won’t have a separate honor bar and only need to focus on your health and mana.
Loot And Rewards In The Trial of Chaos
Along with your Ascendancy class or points, you will also receive your Tribulation rewards.
Each round, choosing a Tribulation offers rewards like gear or currency, which are added to your final winnings at the end.
A major reward of the Trial of Chaos is Soul Cores, exclusive to the Trial of Chaos. These socketable items, like Runes, have specific and potentially powerful effects.
The other type of reward in the Trial of Chaos is the Vaal Orb, which corrupts an item, potentially modifying it in powerful or destructive ways.
