The Implicit modifier is a natural part of the item type and cannot be changed by using Currency items like a Chaos Orb or Orb of Alchemy.
However, not all items will have Implicit modifiers, but many weapons and jewelry items do.
Explicit modifiers, on the other hand, are separate from implicit mods and can appear on an item.
For instance, if you find 10 Icy Sapphire Rings, they will all share the same implicit mod, but their explicit mods will be different.
These explicit mods typically appear below the implicit mod, if one exists. You can modify explicit mods by using Currency Orbs.
Prefix And Suffix In POE 2
Prefixes are one of the two main types of modifiers on items. They usually provide defensive stats like extra armor, evasion, energy shield, or more life.
Some prefixes can also increase damage for physical, chaos, or elemental attacks, either by a flat amount or a percentage.
Suffixes are the other types of modifiers. They often give bonuses like elemental or chaos resistance.
In POE 2, Suffix can also improve attack and casting stats, such as attack speed, cast speed, critical strike chance, and critical strike damage.
