“A Witch’s Choice” is a quest in Diablo 4‘s Season 7, which is themed around witchcraft.
This season is titled Season of Witchcraft, and players must assist the Witches of Hawezar in recovering missing heads that are crucial to the Tree of Whispers.
The quest begins by speaking with Witch Gelena in Gea Kul, where players help the coven track down these heads and unlock new witchcraft powers throughout the season.
Search Caidin For “A Witch’s Choice” In Diablo 4
With the initiation of the “A Witch’s Choice” in Diablo 4, you will receive information from a head found in Ouna’s Den, revealing that Ouna is hiding in the Wastes.
Thus, you need to make your way to the Waste with the preparation and search for Caidin with Gelena.
Further, you need to head towards the Swamp of Vanished Souls where the quest unfolds. Follow Gelena closely, as she will provide guidance or insights relevant to the quest.
As you progress, you will encounter Vengeful Spirit, Skeleton Captain, and other enemies; defeat them.
Significantly, you should look for blue-tinted ghosts, it will guide you to specific locations or objectives within the swamp.
Since your town portal will close upon leaving, mark your current location on the map for easier navigation back to town if needed.
Key Locations In The Quest “A Witch’s Choice”
You’ll come across the Venom-Drenched Path, the Fanged March, Immurement of Thorns, and Tszava’s Slough. Make sure to defeat every enemy you encounter on the way.
On the way to Tszava’s Slough, interact with Blightshade; follow the wooden bridge with the blue light on the left.
Once you cross the Effluvium Ridge and The Cinder Wastes, you will encounter World bosses, a powerful enemy in the Scosglen area. Moreover, Aberrant Cinders can be collected and exchanged for Tortured Gifts.
Once you reach Valtha’s Hovel, speak with Caidin, but be mindful that a Headhunt will conclude in 5 minutes.
Gelena will inform Caidin that Ouna has cast an illusion, and he needs to find a Shrouding Charm to reveal her true location.
Confront Ouna In The Quest “A Witch’s Choice”
During progression, you should Interact with the Hidden Ritual Site, where a World Boss may appear. Significantly, Caidin will cast spells to help break barriers obstructing your path.
Afterward, you’ll encounter Ouna and interact with her to stop the spell. Further, Ouna reveals her struggles with granting freedom to her loved ones due to past actions.
This leads you to moral conflict regarding whether to sacrifice or give up Ouna to the tree.
You will receive instructions to “Follow The Whispers,” where you must track down the “heads” to resolve the conflict.
Thus, you must explore the area thoroughly or interact with objects or NPCs. Once you have followed The Whispers and gathered heads, return to Ouna to complete the quest objectives.
