Locus Points Of Every Boss in Eternal Strands
Locus Point is a vital resource in Eternal Strands that can be obtained by interacting with the glowing spots on the bosses.
However, it won’t be easy, as players must perform certain moves before the locus point is revealed during the boss fight.
There are nine distinct bosses, each with their own locus points that offer upgrades to different abilities.
Ark Of The Stricken Earth
Ark of the Stricken Earth is the first boss players will encounter in Eternal Strands.
However, when you first encounter him, he will be weakened to teach players the game mechanics.
The boss’s locus point is hidden beneath the chest plate, and players must remove its armor before harvesting it.
Players will need to remove the six rivets holding the chest plate in place by destroying the boss’s armor.
Climb onto the Titan and maneuver your way to the top, where you must destroy its armor.
Four rivets are on the shoulder pads, and two are inside. Removing them will reveal the locus, which players can harvest.
Ashpeak Drake
Ashpeak Drake, a fire-type flying boss, who is vulnerable to ice and ice-based abilities.
The locus point is revealed when the boss is in flight. Start by damaging one of its wings.
Be cautious, as damaging both wings prevents the boss from flying and conceals the locus point.
If you don’t destroy one of the wings, the boss will perform a barrel roll when you get on top of it.
Now, mount the beast’s head and destroy the horns. There are two on its head and two on its neck.
After destroying the horns, latch onto the beast’s back and wait for it to fly, as the locus point is revealed only during flight.
The weave strand is called Dragon’s Breath, and the legendary item it drops is Dragon Scale.
Brenning Glasstail
To harvest the locus point from Brenning Glasstail, start by burning off the fur from its head.
Players can use either Dragon’s Breath or environmental elements to burn off the fur.
Players must also destroy all the ice crystals on its body by attacking them. Doing so will drop Blackshard Crystals.
After burning off the fur and destroying all the ice crystals on its body, bait the boss into a mid-range attack.
Glasstail will leap towards you in an attempt to grab you. Dodge this attack to stun it, creating an opening.
Climb onto the head and harvest the locus point to obtain the Ice Wall weave strand and Glass Tail Fur.
Highland Iceclaw
The Highland Iceclaw is another flying boss, and its harvesting mechanics are similar to those of Ashpeak Drake.
The locus point becomes available only when the boss is in flight, so make sure to damage just one of its wings.
Damaging only one wing will allow the bird to fly without performing a barrel roll that could knock you off.
Next, damage both claws. You’ll see them crack, which indicates you’re on the right path.
Climb onto the bird and make your way to its back, where you will find the locus point.
The harvested weave strand is called Frost Mine, and the legendary item it drops is Iceclaw Full Grain.
Ark Of The Living Flame
Focus on the circular points located on various parts of Ark of the Living Flames.
Two are located behind the feet, one near the left elbow, one on the chest, and one at the top of the staff it wields.
You can find Refined Seranite inside the circular plate, which you need to destroy.
Players can use either ranged attacks or get up close to deliver a melee attack to destroy it.
This will extinguish the flame on its hat, revealing the locus point. Climb onto the hat to harvest it.
Climb onto the head and harvest the locus point to obtain the Ember’s Servent weave strand and Cinder Infused Lining.
Rehnland Sledgewyrm
Rehnland Sledgewyrm has the easiest locus point to harvest in Eternal Strands.
Players simply need to destroy the frills that glow when the enemy is charging up for an attack.
It has frills on its four legs, back, and tail. The tail has three sections of frills, so make sure to destroy them all.
After destroying the frills, the locus point will be revealed, located on its tail. Simply interact with it to harvest.
This creature will drop Iron Leather as a legendary resource, and you will level up the Weaver’s Grasp ability.
Ark Of The Forge
Start by removing the armor on its left shoulder. You’ll see two clasps holding it in place when you climb aboard.
Destroy the two clasps, one on the front and one on the back, to remove the armor.
Wait for the enemy to enter Berserk Mode, during which it will start glowing red.
During this phase, it will slam it’s hammer on the ground three times. On the third slam, destroy the four cores around the hammer.
This will reveal the locus point. Climb onto its shoulder to harvest it, which will level up Molten Barrage.
Ark Of The Winter Tide
The Ark of the Winter Tide is covered in ice armor, and the key to unlocking the harvest point is destroying it in the correct order.
Start by destroying the armor on the legs, and make sure to leave the armor on the hand for last.
Be swift with your actions, as the ice tends to regenerate, particularly on the hands, where it grows faster.
Destroying all the armor will reveal the locus point, and harvesting it will unlock the Winter Gauntlet strand in Eternal Strands.
Surgeborn Herald
The only way to defeat the Surgeborn Herald is by extracting its locus point.
Players must first destroy the armor to remove it. Use Ice Wall to freeze the gaseous parts of its body, making them climbable.
Players can also use the Kinetic Stream to launch themselves onto the boss’s body.
After successfully removing all its armor, you will reveal the locus point on its face.
Now, use the Ice Wall to restrain the free arm, either to the ground or to its own body.
The entity may shift the sword back and forth between its hands, but be sure to freeze the free arm.
After pinning down the arm, use the Kinetic Stream ability to float to the locus point and harvest it.
If the arm is not restrained, it will pull you off the face, interrupting the process.
Be sure to loot the Elder Husks and Emerald Lucent, along with your upgraded Kinetic Stream, which drops once the enemy is defeated.
Once players have killed all the bosses by harvesting their locus points, they will earn the “Shining in Every Hue” achievement.
